Franks
& Kraut
Octoberfest, here we come ! Every
fall, , it just seems natural to serve sauerkraut and hot dogs, but I thought
I’d stir in a bit of the sweet fall apple harvest to produce a dish that is definitely
worth throwing party for!
1 ( 16- ounce) package
reduced - fat – frankfurters, cut into ½
inch pieces
½ cup chopped onion
1 ( 15- ounce) can diced
tomatoes , undrained
1 ( 15 – ounce) cam sauerkraut
well drained
1 ½ cups ( 3 small) cored
, peeled, and finely chopped cooking apples
2 tablespoons SPLENDA Granular
1 teaspoon dried parsley
flakes
In a large skillet sprayed with butter flavored cooking spray. Sauté frankfurters
and onion for 5 minutes. Stir in undrained tomatoes and sauerkraut . Add apples
, SPLENDA , and parsley flakes. Mix well to combine. Lower heat , cover and
simmer for 20 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
