Pear Crumble

Here’s dream of a dessert that will warm you body and soul! Talk about comfort food – this crumb –topped pear pleaser is easy and special.

(Serves 6)

4 ½ cups peeled and thinly sliced ripe Bartlett pears
¾ cup all – purpose flour
½ cup SPLENDA Granular
1 teaspoon apple pie spice
¼ cup reduced – calorie margarine
¾ cup fat  free half & half

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8-by-8-inch baking dish with  butter flavored cooking spray. Evenly layer pear slices in prepared baking dish. In a large bowl, combine flour, SPLENDA and apple pie spice. Add margarine. Using a pastry blender of fork, ix until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle crumb mixture evenly over pears. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until pears are tender and top is browned. Place baking dish on a wire rack and let set for at least 5 minutes. Divide into 6 servings. For each serving, spoon warm pear crumble in a dessert dish and drizzle 2 tablespoons half & half over top. Serve at once.
