German skillet Dinner
Sometimes a simple stovetop recipe
with a bit of ethnic flair is exactly what you want for a relaxed evening meal.
This is just one more creative way to enjoy eating sauerkraut!
Serves 6 ( 1 cup)
16 ounces extra lean ground sirloin beef or turkey breast
½ cup chopped onion
1 ( 15- ounce) can sauerkraut
well drained
11/4 cup water
1 ( 8- ounce) can tomato sauce
2 tablespoon SPLENDA
Granular
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2/3 cup uncooked instant
rice
In a large skillet sprayed with
butter – flavored cooking spray, brown meat and button. Stir in sauerkraut,
water, tomato sauces, SPLENDA, and black pepper. Add uncooked rice. Mix well to
combine. Lower heat, cover , and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is tender,
stirring occasionally.
