Green Beans Oriental
Many health – conscious cooks resist the
notion of cooking with peanut butter, thinking that it’s to “fattening” Well, a
little goes a long way in making this exotically tangy temptation!
Serves 6( ½ cup)
3 cups fresh or frozen
cut green beans, thawed
1 cp sliced fresh
mushrooms
½ cup sliced green onions
1 tablespoon reduced –
fat creamy peanut butter
1 tablespoon SPLENDA Granular
2 tablespoons reduced-
sodium soy sauce
¼ cup chopped dry –
roasted peanuts
In an 8-cup glass measuring bowl,
combine green beans, mushrooms, and green onions. Cover and microwave on HIGH
(100% power) for 8 to 10 minutes or until green beans are just tender, stirring
after 5 minutes. Add peanut butter, SPLENDA , soy sauce , and peanuts . Mix
gently to combine. Re – cover and continue to cook on HIGH for 1 minutes.
Gently Stir again. Serve at once.
