Onion Patties

Onion Patties

If you’ve got onion lovers in the family, here’s a fresh and interesting way to provide a savory side dish that celebrates their special spirit! And if chopping all those onions seems like too bug a job, use a bag of frozen chopped onions ( but them and drain them well first)

Serves 6 ( 5 each)

¾ cup all – purpose flour
2/3 cup nonfat dry milk powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon SPLEDA Granular
½ teaspoon table salt
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1 tablespoon yellow cornmeal
½ cup water
3 cups final diced onion

In a medium bowl, combine flour , dry milk powder, baking powder, SPLENDA , salt , parsley flakes, and cornmeal. Stir in water. Add onion. Mix well to combine. Drop by tablespoon onto hot griddle or skillet sprayed with butter – flavored cooking spray to make 30 patties. Brown for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
