Baked Kraut Side Dish

It’s savory and a bit of a surprise, but you’ll soon discover that noodles and sauerkraut can be delicious partners and culinary pleasure. Keep your pantry well-stocked, and you’ve got some easy veggie dishes in your repertoire now.

(Serves 6)


½ cup chopped onion
1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
½ cup SPLENDA Granular
1 (15-ounce) can sauerkraut, well drained
1 ½ cups cooked noodles, rinsed and drained
¼ cup purchased real bacon bits

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8-by-8-inch baking dish with butter-flavored cooking spray. In a large skillet sprayed with butter flavored cooking spray, sauté onion for 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in undrained tomatoes and SPLENDA. Add sauerkraut, noodles and bacon bits .Mix well to combine. Spread mixture into prepared baking dish. Bake for 3 minutes. Place baking dish on a wire rack and let set for 5 minutes. Divide into 6 servings.
