Wilted Green Bean & Lettuce Salad

Wilted Green Bean & Lettuce  Salad

It’s kind of a funny name for an appealing dish, isn’t it? In this case “wilted” doesn’t mean the kind  of soggy, spoiled vegetables you’d avoids at the store , but what happens to crisp greens when they ‘re treated to a heated dressing – yum!

Serves 4 (1 cup)

½ cup chopped red onion
¼ cup apple cider SPLENDA Granular
3 cups frozen cut green beans, thawed
¼ cup purchased real bacon bits
2 cups shredded lettuce

In a large skillet sprayed with butter- flavored cooking spray, sauté onion for 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in vinegar and SPLENDA Add green beans and bacon bits. Mix well to combine.  Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes or just until green beans are tender, stirring often. Remove from heat. Stir in lettuce. Serve at once.
